Everyone can make art and participate in art therapy.
The focus is placed on the process of making art and not on how it looks. It is in the making of art that the healing takes place.
My goal is to introduce others to the power of art therapy as an effective outlet for difficult emotions and as a path toward greater self-awareness and increased self-compassion.
I am also passionate about working with women.
I seek to help those who feel stuck in old patterns identify what is getting in the way of making the changes they desire.
I am passionate about helping women discover what it’s like to begin trusting their instincts and giving a voice to their boundaries and needs from others.
It is my life’s calling to help those I work with know that they are not alone and that they have a safe place to come to in times of distress and hopelessness.
I do my best work in helping women and teens…
- Express themselves freely without judgment or inhibition.
- Grow in insight and inner strength.
- Experience the healing power of creative self-expression.
- Increase their inner resources for coping with difficult emotions.
- Connect with others more deeply through the shared experience of group art therapy.

I have worked for over twenty years in the mental health field.
I have provided art therapy and psychoeducation to a variety of age groups. After receiving my Master’s Degree as a registered Art Therapist, I provided art therapy services for multiple intensive inpatient programs including adolescents and pre-teens; women facing issues of anxiety, trauma, and depression; and adults in emotional distress.
I also have a passion for mindfulness and how it fosters awareness in the present moment by observing thoughts and emotions in the body. This passion led me to the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine at Vanderbilt where I completed the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program allowing me to incorporate these tools into my art therapy groups.
I love supporting women and youth in the Nashville community through the unique process of creative art therapy.
