Try not to get caught up in what other people think of you. What matters most, is that you feel comfortable and confident with who you are.

After working with me, I hope for my clients to leave feeling empowered and understood.

When I started thinking about perusing a career in the counseling field, I started with thinking I wanted to work with children and adolescents struggling through grief and loss.

I was also interested in working with individuals struggling with anxiety and depression who are struggling to find fulfillment in their lives.

These two populations are still of interest for me; however, after spending some time in my graduate program, I’ve also developed an interest in working with couples and families.

I do my best work in helping teens…

  • Navigate difficult transitions.
  • Build up their self-esteem and confidence in themselves.
  • Develop and integrate coping skills that are practical and easy to integrate into a busy daily schedule.
  • Move past traumatic experiences and begin to live a life that no longer makes them feel like a victim to their circumstances.

Prior to perusing my degree in mental health counseling, I obtained a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA where I double majored in Human Development and Psychology.

Throughout college, I spent my summers working at Camp Seafarer in Arapahoe, NC helping enhance the summer camp experience for girls ages 7-14.

I would spend my time helping campers struggling with anxiety, depression, traumatic experiences, and other life challenges, and it was through my summers at Camp Seafarer that I uncovered a passion for counseling and helping others.

My favorite part of my summer job was building genuine and sincere connections with campers that I have been able to keep up throughout the years. I found such great joy in my helping role at Camp Seafarer, and I am grateful that it led me in the direction of the mental health counseling field.

I am being supervised by Vanessa Davis, LPC-MHSP, Clinical Supervisor at Replenish Her Counseling; as well as my Trevecca School Supervisor. This means that my clinical work is reviewed with both Vanessa and my Trevecca Professor, to ensure the best quality care is rendered to my clients.

Fitness is a big hobby of mine. I love staying active whether it’s through group-fitness classes, going on an outdoor walk with my friends, or playing water polo! I’m also a huge sports fanatic – watching football and ESPN are two of my favorite pass-times. Outside of those things, I enjoy trying new recipes in the kitchen!
