If there were one thing I could tell the younger version of myself, that without question you are capable of achieving growth and health in spite of your pain and struggles.

If you’ve come to a point in life where you feel like you can’t go on anymore and that you can’t handle one more thing — know that I have been there.

We can find a way out together.

When I started school, I wanted to work with women and families. I had experience going to therapy as a woman and as a family, and I deeply enjoyed both of those settings. Eventually, I met my husband and we participated in premarital counseling. These personal experiences led me to choosing a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I want to offer the same services that I have received and benefitted so deeply from.

At the end of our time together, my hope for my clients is to feel confident and secure in themselves, their feelings, and  their experiences and their emotions and how to listen to them – just as I did. I offer all my clients empathy and hope. I want them to be free to feel whatever comes their way, without shame or judgment of themselves. I want them to gain new perspectives and deeply understand the idea of both/and — that this life can be awful and beautiful at the same time.

I attended and graduated from Baylor University in 2010 with a degree in Child and Family Studies. I then attended Trevecca Nazarene University and earned my Masters degree in Elementary Education in 2013. I taught 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades for several years. Eventually, my experience with my students and their families, in addition to my own life experiences, compelled me to return to Trevecca to pursue another Masters degree in Marriage & Family Therapy, which I earned in 2022.

I am trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and in PREPARE/ENRICH premarital counseling. In addition to those, I use an eclectic group of modalities with clients depending on what suits them best – some of my favorites include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and have a special interest in Intergenerational Therapy.

My areas of Specialty
