I’m Elizabeth Pike

I help pre-teens, teens, and their families that struggle with anxiety and disconnect begin to better communicate so that they can have a healthier and more meaningful relationship with themselves and others.

I am a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern at Replenish Her.

If there were one thing, I could tell the younger version of myself, it would be to know that without question you are capable of achieving growth and health in spite of your pain and struggles.

Through my years working as an Elementary School Teacher, I have found that true healing and support of a child that is struggling and in pain, cannot be achieved by one person alone. It takes the involvement of the entire system. I would become frustrated inside my role as a teacher because I could see how much the entire system was struggling, and I was limited inside what I was able to provide as that student’s teacher. This is one of the greatest factors that led me to go back to school and pursue counseling.

I believe that true health is achieved when all components of a system are clearly communicating and connecting in a healthy way. It is my mission to help my clients develop the awareness, insight, and communication tools they need in order to better connect with others. It is my mission to help my teens and families feel confident and empowered inside of navigating and expressing their thoughts and feelings, even if those thoughts and feelings are distressing and uncomfortable.

I do my best work with teens and families who…

Desire to feel more connected to each other and themselves.

Seek to develop healthier communication strategies.

Yearn to feel confident and empowered inside their own body.

Learn new coping skills and techniques to better navigate distressing feelings and experiences.

I am a Graduate Counseling student at Trevecca University in the Marriage and Family Therapy Program. Previously, I worked for 4 years as an Elementary School Teacher. I earned my Bachelors of Science in Child and Family Studies from Baylor University in 2010 and my Master's Degree in Education from Trevecca in 2013. I also have experience working with teenagers inside the youth ministry. Since starting my second Master's degree, I have moved into an administrative role while taking classes.

I am being supervised by Christine Finnegan, LPC-MHSP, the owner of Replenish Her Counseling. I love to use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help my clients work through distressing thoughts and feelings and learn to no longer feel stuck inside of these thoughts and feelings. I also love utilizing narrative therapy, Internal Family System (IFS) approaches, and intergenerational therapy to help my clients and their families deepen their own understanding and compassion for themselves.

When I am not with clients you will find me spending time with my boyfriend and our dogs, walking in shady spots around town, trying new restaurants, going to the movies, and deep cleaning my house. I love thunderstorms and cultivating a cozy feeling! My idea of a great day is organizing a closet!.
