I want to work with people who were going through times of transition : adolescence, marriage, divorce, changes in career path, parenting, empty nesting. Although there are many emotions involved in each of these times including feeling of hopeless and lost, it can also be a times of reflection, growth and positive development.
My deepest desire for those that I work with, is that they leave counseling feeling empowered and confident in their decisions, as well as more connected to themselves.
I believe that true healing can take place through counseling. It is my desire to dive into the deep waters of a person’s story and experiences, and help them find meaning and repair.
Sometimes in the process of life we get lost along the way. We lose touch of our voice, and struggle to see our strengths.
When I work with an individual, I wish to help them rediscover their strengths and passions. I want them to feel pride in the hard work and a deep sense of confidence and peace. I believe that this will allow them to fully love themselves and therefore have the capacity to love others well.
I do my best work in helping women…
- Deepen their ability to bring compassion to their story, behaviors, and relationships.
- Help foster curiosity to respond and react to stressors in a different, more cathartic way.
- Feel heard, seen and deeply respected.
- Move through difficult relationships and/or difficult life transitions with clarity and courage.

After graduating with a degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations and Advertising, I went straight from college to work in advertising in Dallas and later in Chicago.
After taking some time off with my children, I re-entered the corporate world, eventually landing in the VP, Director of Operations and Human Resources for an agency in Chicago.
For the last ten years I have held a seat on the Board of Directors for an organization that rescues children living on the streets, many of whom have been victims of sex trafficking.
I am currently studying many types of therapy including Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Experiental Therapy.
Outside of my work life, I love to have new adventures and experiences. I will try anything once – feeding Tazmanian Devils, swimming with sharks, riding up the side of a volcano on a mule, taking hula lessons – anything that challenges me and makes my family laugh.
I also love terrible reality shows, reading books about healing, and looking for new ways to love/annoy my family, friends and neighbors.
